Our Mission: Service Above Self
The Rotary Club of Bath is part of a global movement dedicated to creating lasting change.
The Rotary Club of Bath – Local Action, Worldwide Vision
The Rotary Club of Bath is a group of local people who meet regularly to network, contribute to our community and make friends along the way. We are non-political, and not affiliated to any religious or other groups. We believe in the power of ‘service above self’ and by working together we aim to make a positive impact through support for local and international projects.
Our activities are diverse, ranging from organising events to raise thousands of pounds for local charities to supporting major welfare and humanitarian projects, in conjunction with Rotary International. We also provide direct support to charities, schools and others by offering our members’ diverse skills and experience.

Some of our projects
Bath Festival of Motoring
Our annual Festival of Motoring, first run in 1992, raising money for local causes.
Youth Enterprise Challenge
Introducing local young people to the fundamentals of running a business.
Charity Fireworks at the Rec

Christmas Collection
Ever spotted Santa and his elves out and about on the high street? That may well have been us, collecting for our Xmas collection.
Our History and Evolution
Rooted in a rich tradition of service, the Rotary Club of Bath continues to adapt and grow. Our club was founded in 1921, one of the first in the UK after Rotary was begun in Chicago, USA in 1905. Below are key milestones in the history of Rotary in the UK, including our own club’s journey.
When and where we meet
Each month, we meet as a club on the first and third Tuesday lunchtimes, and the second and fourth Wednesday evenings.
Meetings usually take place at Lansdown Golf Club, except for the second Wednesday evening of the month, in week four, which is generally in the City Centre.
