President of the Rotary Club of Bath Richard Bush visited the Bath Community Kitchen to formally present the organisation with a donation of £2,500.
The money was raised at the Rotary Club’s Fireworks on the Rec event in November.
Bath Community Kitchen founder Rob Lewis and Director Marc Radley were joined by Rotarians Chris and Paul, and Paul’s grandson Finn. The three had spent the afternoon as part of the volunteer team which prepared the food for the regular Thursday evening community meal in Twerton.
An exciting, Indian-flavours inspired menu, with spiced apple turnover for pudding, was rustled up by the volunteer team, under the expert guidance of professional chef, Rob, and served free of charge to around 25 local people.
The evening was, as the name suggests, not just about good food but also about community.
